New Hampshire State Police are assisting Raymond police with an active search for an armed subject. Residents in the area of Ham Rd. and Nottingham Rd. have been asked to shelter in place until further notice.
A police officer has reportedly been injured, and both Nottingham Road and Ham Road are currently shut down. Authorities have confirmed the road closures, but other details, including the nature of the incident and the condition of the officer, have not yet been officially confirmed.
Witnesses reported seeing SWAT trucks, fire department vehicles, and armored tank vehicles heading towards the town center. Some residents received automated calls advising them to shelter in place.
The suspect is reportedly armed with an AK-47 and firing full metal jacket rounds. Authorities have asked people to avoid the area and Route 156.
