A massive fire broke out at a recycling yard in Albuquerque, New Mexico, causing Broadway to be closed between Rio Bravo and Prosperity Avenue. The blaze, which was seen across the South Valley, has led to a Health Alert being issued by the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Air Quality Program.

According to authorities, a total of 11 apparatus and 40 personnel are assigned to the incident, with additional support provided by Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office.

Residents in the area are advised to turn off evaporative coolers to prevent smoke from entering their homes. The fire has also raised concerns about air quality, with the Health Alert remaining in effect until 6am on Wednesday.
