A viral social media claim that influencer Andrew Tate was 'arrested' in Saudi Arabia on suspicion of terrorism has been debunked.
According to reports, Tate was briefly detained and released after questioning by Saudi police at a checkpoint near the border with Dubai.
The incident occurred when Tate was stopped for reportedly not agreeing to a security scan, and he was held for a few hours.
Tate jokingly referred to the detention center as a 'terrorist detention centre' in a video he posted later, which was taken out of context and spread the false claim.
HT.com can confirm that Andrew Tate is not facing terrorism charges.
Tate is currently stuck in the Middle East amid the escalation and has been posting about the conflict, claiming the war is 'not real'.
