Reid Wiseman, Commander of the historic Artemis II mission, broke a 53-year record for the farthest human travel from Earth during the moon flyby. The crew paid an emotional tribute to Wiseman's late wife, Carroll, by naming a lunar crater after her.

Carroll, a pediatric nurse practitioner, passed away at 46 after a five-year battle with cancer, leaving Wiseman to raise their two daughters, Ellie and Katherine, alone.

Wiseman's family life has drawn attention, with his brother, Bill, recalling their childhood and Reid's early days as a US Navy pilot. Bill, a former Navy SEAL, met his wife in the Navy and reflected on the pride of watching his brother achieve his dreams.
