A 5-alarm fire is currently burning at a house with a church extension in Astoria, Queens, near the Reformed Church of Astoria on 12th Street.
The blaze started at a residence connected to the church around 6:45 p.m. and rapidly spread into the house of worship.
Nearly 200 firefighters and EMS personnel responded as crews continue to work to contain the fire.
Operations are still underway, and it is not yet known if there are any injuries or the cause of the fire.
