A 36-year-old pregnant rapper and businesswoman, Qualeisha Barnes, also known as Siditty, was shot dead in Atlanta, leaving her family heartbroken and police searching for answers.
According to reports, Barnes was found unresponsive inside her luxury SUV in the early hours of April 8, with multiple gunshot wounds. She was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.
Police believe the shooter fired from outside the vehicle and then ran away, with no suspect identified yet. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and talking to neighbors to find out what led to the shooting.
Barnes' mother, Francine Lopez-Stewart, believes more than one person may have been involved in her daughter's death and wants everyone responsible to be punished.
Barnes was a successful rapper, businesswoman, and nursing student, who was close to finishing her degree and had recently made the dean's list.
