A Bangladesh court will hear arguments on framing charges in a sedition case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 285 others on June 17.
The case relates to allegations of anti-state activities and conspiring to overthrow the interim government by participating in a virtual 'Joy Bangla Brigade' meeting on December 19, 2024.
Among those named in the case are former parliamentarians, a US Awami League vice-president, and several lawyers and academics.
The case was filed by CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Enamul Haque in March last year, and a charge sheet against 286 accused was submitted in August.
