Billionaire Bill Ackman, the founder of Pershing Square, has made substantial donations to the families of two servicemembers who lost their lives in the Middle East. He donated $100,000 to the family of NYPD officer Major Sorffly Davius, who passed away following a medical incident in Kuwait, and $80,000 to the family of Major Alex Klinner, who was killed in a refueling plane crash in Iraq.
Ackman's donations were made through GoFundMe campaigns established for the families of the fallen servicemembers. He also shared a link to the fundraiser on his X account, promoting the initiative to assist Davius's widow and their six children.
This is not the first time Ackman has made significant donations to families of fallen servicemembers. Earlier this year, he contributed $20,000 to the families of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, who were shot and killed in Minneapolis during an immigration enforcement operation.
Ackman's net worth stands at $9 billion, positioning him as the 377th richest individual globally, as per Forbes.
