Bomb Threat Evacuates Dallas Mall, Search Takes Nearly 4 Hours

NorthPark Center in Dallas was evacuated Wednesday afternoon for a “security reason,” with reports suggesting a possible bomb threat behind the incident.

The NorthPark Center mall in Dallas was evacuated after a bomb threat was called in, prompting a nearly 4-hour search for potential explosives.

Police confirmed the bomb threat was behind the evacuation, which began around 12:30pm local time.

The mall was allowed to reopen around 3:15pm, after the search was completed.

The NorthPark Center mall is located on the 800 Block of North Central Expressway, around 11 miles north of downtown Dallas.
