Bond Denied for Lacey Cushman, Accused of Shooting Police Chief Adam Evans

A 37-year-old woman, Lacey Nicole Cushman, has been denied bond for her alleged involvement in shooting Springfield town police chief Adam Evans.

The incident occurred on April 20 in Blackville, Barnwell County, where Evans was shot in the rib cage during a chase.

Cushman, who was identified as the suspect through a state-wide blue alert, was arrested after a lookout was issued by the South Carolina Division of Law Enforcement.

She is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and violating traffic signals.

Chief Evans is currently in stable condition and recovering from his injuries.
