Canadian police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the murder of an Indo-Canadian businessman in Surrey, British Columbia.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) announced the arrest of Brian Kiraly-Miller, who is alleged to have murdered 46-year-old Baljinder Singh on January 13.

Kiraly-Miller faces a first-degree murder charge and has a history of gang connections, having been convicted of conspiracy to murder in 2021.

The motive behind the homicide has not been disclosed due to ongoing court proceedings, but investigators confirm it was a targeted shooting.

This is the latest in a string of murders targeting Indo-Canadian businessmen in the Lower Mainland region of BC, including the killings of Darshan Singh Sahsi and Satwinder Sharma.
