A federal judge has dismissed 10 out of 13 claims in Blake Lively's lawsuit against her co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. The remaining three claims will be heard in court on May 18, 2026.
Political commentator Candace Owens has taken credit for the dismissal, stating 'truth wins' on her X account. However, Lively's lawyer claims the ruling is not a defeat and that the case will focus on allegations of retaliation and destruction of reputation.
The judge's decision was made due to Lively being classified as an independent contractor, not an employee, which affected the sexual harassment claims. The remaining claims include breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting in retaliation.
