A wildfire dubbed the Sandpiper Fire has broken out in Wyoming, prompting evacuations and concerns for nearby residents.
The fire, which started at the 9100 Block of E Sandpiper St, Northeast of Evansville, has spread to 50 acres and is believed to be heading towards Converse County.
Natrona County Emergency Management has issued evacuation advisements for residents on Castle Stone Drive, Stonewood Street, and Ridgeview Road, while Cole Creek Road is currently closed at Santa Fe Circle.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but local authorities are urging residents to stay safe and avoid the area.
