Haley Beck, a 27-year-old teacher at Centennial High School in Illinois, has been fired after allegations of sexual misconduct with a student. Beck, who has been with the school since 2020, is accused of pandering and claims of misconduct surfaced after another teacher, Angela Burlaka, was probed. The student's mother reportedly knew her son was 'having sex' with Beck, who was his psychology and sociology teacher during his sophomore and junior years.

According to investigators, Beck gave preferential treatment to the student, doing his homework, improving his marks and attendance record, and even gave him access to her car, bought gifts, food, drugs, and alcohol. She also paid him over $600 and called herself his 'sugar momma.'

Beck and the student exchanged over 4,000 texts about sexual and illegal activity over a period of six weeks. She wrote a handwritten note to the student saying 'for this 'relationship' being extremely wrong, I feel like we have really made the most out of it.'

The Peoria Unified School District Governing Board decided unanimously to fire Beck from her position. Burlaka, who has been with the school for 25 years, has also been accused of recording naked videos of herself with the student's name, which ended up on the student's phone.
