Chuck Norris, the legendary martial artist and actor, has passed away at 86. As fans remember his iconic fight scenes, one of his most celebrated battles with Bruce Lee is still widely talked about. The two friends and on-screen rivals fought in the 1972 film 'The Way of the Dragon.'

The fight scene, which took place inside Rome's Colosseum, is praised for its realism and technical brilliance. Lee personally chose Norris to play his opponent, believing he was one of the few fighters who could convincingly match him on screen.

The two met in 1967 at the All-American Karate Championships and quickly formed a close friendship built on mutual respect and a shared passion for martial arts. They spent hours discussing the sport and even trained together in Lee's backyard in Los Angeles.

After Lee's sudden death in 1973, Norris credited his friend with shaping his understanding of performance and the theatrical side of combat. This experience encouraged Norris to transition into acting, a move that would eventually make him a global action star.
