The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has ruled 14-year-old Celeste Rivas' death a homicide, prompting the arrest of 21-year-old singer D4vd.
Rivas' decomposed remains were discovered in September 2025 inside a vehicle registered to D4vd, who was arrested on April 16 after an extensive investigation.
D4vd is being held without bail as prosecutors review evidence to determine formal charges.
The case has been ongoing since Rivas went missing in April 2024, with investigators initially struggling to determine a cause of death due to the extended period the body was in the vehicle.
Prosecutors are expected to present evidence to the district attorney's office, which will determine whether to file murder charges against D4vd.
