Discord Down: 'Server Awaiting Endpoint' Error Hits Thousands of Users

Discord appears to be experiencing a widespread outage, with hundreds of users across the United States reporting issues. According to Downdetector, the outage began around 11 p.m. EDT on Thursday, with users seeing a “server awaiting endpoint” error and many reporting voice calls not working.

The issue seemed to briefly resolve around 11:30 p.m. EDT, but problems quickly returned. By 11:45 p.m., Downdetector had logged nearly 8,000 reports. Discord has yet to respond to the outage.

Users took to Downdetector to share their experiences, with one person reporting, “Discord is down, all voice chats are not operational, tried pvt ones as well as different servers, my friends and I get stuck at the Awaiting Endpoint.”

Another user added, “I was watching dune with my boyfriend and now we cant finish it tonight because calls are broken and streaming is just a gray box.”

A third person complained, “Me and a few friends sat in VC waiting for endpoint to connect and randomly got back in VC all together, except for the people on mobile so i will say its quite odd whatever is going on at discord HQ.”

Others reported similar issues, with one person writing, “Ok maybe... there still down still endpoint was in vc for like 5 mins just switched to endpoint.”

Another user added, “Bro they need to hurry up and fix the app i need to call my gf.”
