Dubai billionaire Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor has questioned US President Donald Trump's authority to drag the region into war with Iran.

Al Habtoor's post came after Iran's attack on US bases in the UAE in retaliation for America and Israel's strikes on Tehran.

He asked, "Who gave you the authority to drag our region into war with #Iran?" and questioned the basis of Trump's decision.

Al Habtoor also slammed Trump for not considering the collateral damage and the impact on the region's countries.

He stated, "You have placed the countries of the #GulfCooperationCouncil and the Arab states at the heart of a danger they did not choose."

Al Habtoor also questioned Trump's orders involving external military interventions and airstrikes, saying true leadership is not measured by decisions of war, but by wisdom, respect for others, and pushing towards achieving peace.
