It's been over two months since Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home, with no major lead or arrest in sight.

A former FBI agent, Jennifer Coffindaffer, has proposed a new angle in the case, focusing on the ransom notes sent to news outlet TMZ.

Coffindaffer claims that the details in the ransom notes, other than the ransom demand, could be key to the probe, particularly the purported scripture writings and quotes.

She suggests that these religious references could indicate that the suspect has a 'God complex', a belief in one's superiority and near-absolute power or control.

Coffindaffer's theory is based on her analysis of the ransom notes and interviews with the Guthrie family, including Savannah Guthrie's interview with Hoda Kotb.
