FBI Director Kash Patel has become the target of a cyberattack after an Iran-linked hacker group took control of his email account, sharing private content online. Amidst this controversy, Patel shared an update on a long-running criminal case, revealing a major breakthrough in a 40-year-old double homicide case in Houston.

A suspect has been identified and charged in the 1990 killings of Cheryl Henry and Garland Andrew Atkinson, also known as Andy. The breakthrough was made possible by a recent tip received in 2025, which led the FBI to identify and arrest 64-year-old Floyd William Parrott. He is currently awaiting transfer to Harris County jail in Texas.

The case, which had remained unsolved for decades, involved the stabbing of both victims in the throat. Andy was found tied to a tree, while Cheryl's body was located about 100 yards away. Authorities also confirmed that Cheryl had been sexually assaulted.
