Kim Muratori, a Florida woman, has won an epic two-year battle against a Mercedes dealership over a defective car. She bought a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-400, valued at over $50,000, but it had major issues from the start, including a bumper that was 'zip-tied to the frame' and an odometer discrepancy.

Despite the problems, Muratori was stuck paying monthly instalments and insurance for a car she couldn't safely use. She took the case to arbitration and won, with the arbitrator finding that the dealership broke Florida law and ordering them to take the car back, pay damages, and cover some of her legal costs.

However, the dealership challenged the arbitration decision in court, claiming the arbitrator was biased. A judge found no proof of bias and supported the original ruling. The dealership's parent company, AutoNation, later confirmed that they had fulfilled their obligations following the court's decision.

Muratori spent around $17,000 on attorney fees that she cannot recover and had to buy another car during the dispute. She plans to write a letter directly to the CEO of AutoNation.
