Rex Culpepper, a former Syracuse quarterback, died at 28 after suffering fatal injuries in a dirt bike crash in Georgia.
Culpepper was the son of NFL player Brad Culpepper.
His fiancée, Savanna Morgan, paid tribute to him in an emotional social media post.
Culpepper played for Syracuse from 2016 to 2020, appearing in over 15 games and throwing for 1,546 yards with 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
During his college career, he overcame cancer at 20 and received the Jim DaRin Courage Award.
Syracuse University issued a statement mourning the loss of Culpepper, who lived his life with 'endless passion'.
