Fortnite by Epic Games was reportedly down for thousands of users on Tuesday, with over 1800 complaints logged on Downdetector. Users faced issues with matchmaking and loading, with some unable to queue for games. Epic Games acknowledged the situation and is investigating the cause.
The issue initially started with the Middle East server region but spread to other regions as well. Gamers expressed their frustrations on social media, with some complaining about being disconnected from games and others expressing disappointment at the outage.
Epic Games has issued a statement acknowledging the matchmaking errors and is working to resolve the issue. In the meantime, users can try to fix the issue by clearing the Custom Matchmaking Key, selecting a region manually, and restarting the router. However, these fixes may not work if there is a global outage.
