A shooting on the 105 Freeway in South Los Angeles, California, has left a driver in critical condition and the highway closed.
According to reports, California Highway Patrol officials received calls around 1:45pm, stating a vehicle was stopped in the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane with a person slumped over the driver's wheel.
Officers observed a black Toyota Camry with a gunshot wound on the driver, who was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Videos from the scene showed the vehicle with a shattered rear passenger side window, and numerous cars were stuck on the freeway due to the shooting.
The eastbound 105 Freeway has been fully closed, with motorists advised to exit at Crenshaw Boulevard.
While an official reopening time has not been provided, a person monitoring local traffic guessed it might be around 11pm.
