A Frontier Airlines flight from Columbus, Ohio made an emergency landing at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta after a passenger made verbal bomb threats.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 5pm, prompting a massive police response at the airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to reports, the flight landed on Runway 8L of the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at 5:07pm Sunday and was taken to a remote location away from the terminal.
The passengers were evacuated as Atlanta PD officers responded, and the person who made the threats was reportedly detained.
The Atlanta Police Department is leading the investigation, and the passenger's identity has not been released.
It is unclear if arrivals and departures at the Hartsfield-Jackson airport were affected by the incident, but there are no known threats to the airport.
