Harvey Weinstein is going on trial again in a New York rape case, with jurors set to weigh whether he raped hairstylist and actor Jessica Mann in a Manhattan hotel in 2013.

This is Weinstein's third trial, with jurors considering only one charge based on one accuser, rather than the array of allegations from previous trials.

Weinstein denies all the accusations and has stated that he has 'acted wrongly, but I never assaulted anyone.'

Prosecutors may seek to introduce new evidence, including testimony from a court security officer about something Weinstein allegedly said six years ago.

Weinstein's lawyers have urged the judge to keep any mention of the supposed remark out of his upcoming retrial.

The judge has revisited some rulings about exactly what evidence gets presented about Weinstein's and Mann's years of interactions.

Weinstein's new defense team, led by Marc Agnifilo, took on the case in February, when longtime Weinstein lawyer Arthur Aidala stepped aside.

Weinstein is facing a lower-level felony punishable by up to four years behind bars, in addition to his previous conviction and ongoing appeals.
