Steve Christian Jahn, a 44-year-old homeless man, has been identified as the suspect in a fatal shooting in Tredyffrin Township, Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when a woman was shot inside her SUV near Contention Lane and Old State Road.
She was rushed to Paoli Hospital where she died on Sunday.
Investigators believe the victim crashed into a pole after being shot.
Chester County District Attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe said the motive remains unclear and that there was no prior connection between Jahn and the victim.
Jahn is being held at Chester County Prison without bail and faces charges of criminal homicide, first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and weapons offenses.
A preliminary hearing is set for March 23.
