A tornado-warned storm passed through Indianapolis, Indiana, on Friday afternoon, but the National Weather Service canceled the warning after 20 minutes. Residents shared videos of the storm, which was expected to weaken in the next few hours.
According to local meteorologists, the storm will aggressively weaken, and rains will continue for the rest of Friday. However, there was no confirmed tornado on the ground, as reported by NWS Meteorologist Greg Melo.
The storm affected multiple regions in Indianapolis, especially along Mooresville and Lawrence, leaving nearly 11,000 customers without power. Downed trees and power lines were reported, with at least two traffic incidents confirmed by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
