Iran's foreign ministry has rejected US President Donald Trump's claim that the country had agreed to transfer its stockpile of enriched uranium. Foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei stated that Iran's enriched uranium remains under its control and will not be moved abroad.

Trump had earlier said that Iran had agreed to suspend its nuclear program indefinitely and would not receive any frozen funds from the United States. He also mentioned that talks on a lasting agreement will probably take place this weekend.

Oil, fuel, and natural gas prices fell sharply following the developments, with Brent crude dropping over 10% to below $89 a barrel. Trump has not yet decided who will head the US delegation for talks with Iranian officials to finalize the agreement.
