Medical giant Stryker was hit by a massive cyberattack, with over 200,000 systems, servers, and mobile devices impacted. The Iran-linked group Handala claimed responsibility, citing a response to the alleged US bombing of an Iranian school.
The attack, which began around midnight US eastern time, saw employees unable to work and data being wiped from devices. Stryker stocks plummeted by as much as 5.3% in the fallout.
The company, which has 56,000 employees worldwide and revenue of over $25 billion, has stated that the incident is contained and teams are working to understand the impact.
