Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei is in a good situation and fine, according to his Deputy Representative in India, Dr Mohammad Hossein Ziyaeenia.
Ziyaeenia dismissed speculations and rumours surrounding Khamenei's health, stating that the situation is 'thanks to God, good' and that he is 'fine.'
Khamenei has been issuing statements mostly from his social media channels since taking the reins of the Islamic Republic in March.
His absence from the public sphere has been attributed to injuries sustained on the first day of war on February 28, in which his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a strike by the United States of America.
According to The New York Times, Khamenei is 'gravely wounded' but still 'mentally sharp and engaged', and is in need of a prosthetic and plastic surgery due to severe burn injuries.
