The Abu Dhabi media authorities reported that twelve people, including five Indian nationals, were injured during a successful interception of Iranian strikes on Friday.
Seven Nepali nationals were also injured in the incident, which resulted due to the falling shrapnel from missile interception in the Ajban area of Abu Dhabi.
The attack comes after Iran warned of strikes on Israel and Gulf states in retaliation to the attack on its bridges and energy infrastructure.
The UAE air defences downed 22 missiles, 47 drones, including 18 ballistic missiles, 4 cruise missiles, and 47 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran.
A total of 203 people were injured, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and severe.
