The war between Iran and the US is on the brink of resumption as talks between the two nations remain deadlocked with the ceasefire's expiry date just two days away.
A two-week truce was announced by Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on April 8, but the US has imposed a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has called an "act of piracy."
US President Donald Trump has said that the US will not lift the blockade until Tehran agrees to a peace deal to end the war, while Iran has maintained its chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz.
No Iranian delegation has yet departed for talks with the US in Pakistan, where US Vice President JD Vance is reportedly set to lead the negotiations.
