Iran's army has issued a warning to the 'enemy' stating that any land warfare will be 'more dangerous and costly.'

Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, commander of the Iranian Army ground forces, made the remark amid reports of Washington considering deploying 2,000-3,000 troops from the elite 82nd Airborne Division.

The US already has around 50,000 troops stationed in the Middle East, with deployments in Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq.

US President Donald Trump has stated that he will not be sending troops, but the Pentagon has not commented on the reports.

Iran has rejected Trump's 15-point peace plan and has presented five additional demands, including sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
