A video released by Kuwait authorities shows thick black smoke billowing and people running for cover after an Iranian drone strike on the Kuwait International Airport.

The attack, which occurred on June 3, 2026, killed one person and injured 63 others, according to Kuwait's DGCA.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards denied responsibility for the attack, stating that their air force did not fire any shots at the target.

Kuwait's DGCA alleged that the attack was carried out by Iran, resulting in the loss of one life, severe human injuries, and extensive material damage.

The person killed in the strike was identified as an Indian national, with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait expressing its deepest condolences to the bereaved family.

The attack comes after days of ceasefire, with Iran striking US allies Bahrain and Kuwait in response to an attack on one of its oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz.
