An Ivy League graduate and PR firm owner revealed why she spends ₹11 lakh per year on beauty treatments and clothes, especially after moving from New York to Utah.

In a conversation with Business Insider, she revealed that she undergoes pricey procedures to keep up with beauty standards, as Utah has a more conservative culture and a focus on maintaining a youthful appearance.

The 50-year-old explained that before living in Utah, she wore makeup and had infrequent manicures, but never had Botox or regular facials.

She spends close to $2,000 a year on Botox, over $1,500 a year on manicures and pedicures, and over $5,000 a year on her clothing, in addition to getting antiaging treatments a few times a year.

The PR boss explained that she may not have done these beauty treatments if she still lived in NYC, where there's less focus on keeping a youthful appearance and the climate is gentle on the skin.
