Jessie Holmes, a professional dog musher and former reality TV star, has won the Iditarod championship, one of the toughest sled dog races in the world.
He completed the 1,100-mile route in 10 days, 14 hours, 55 minutes, and 41 seconds, earning around $80,000 in prize money.
According to The Richest, Holmes' net worth was estimated at $500,000 in 2022, with income coming from Iditarod performances and his time on National Geographic's Life Below Zero.
On the show, participants reportedly earned around $4,500 per episode, or close to $200,000 per year.
With his recent win, Holmes has solidified his position as a top musher, having earned seven top-10 finishes in the Iditarod and placing in the top five in the last five races.
