Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel took a subtle dig at broadcaster CBS and Donald Trump during the Oscars 2026 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Kimmel presented the Academy Award for the best documentary and recalled the time when ABC briefly took his show off the air over his comments on Charlie Kirk's death.
He made an indirect jab at CBS and Trump by calling out 'North Korea and CBS' for not supporting free speech, as the Dolby Theatre erupted in applause.
Kimmel also joked about Melania Trump's documentary not winning the Oscar, saying Donald Trump would be angry.
The incident sparked controversy in September when Kimmel criticized Charlie Kirk's death on his show, accusing conservatives of 'scoring political points' from it.
