Former US vice president Kamala Harris has launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump, accusing him of being 'pulled into' a military conflict with Iran by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Harris described Trump's decision to launch war in the Middle East as a 'feeble attempt' to distract from domestic controversies, specifically the 'Epstein files.'

She claimed that Trump entered a war that 'the American people do not want,' putting at risk American service members, and accused the Trump administration of being the 'most corrupt, callous and incompetent' in US history.

Harris also accused Trump of utilising the Iran conflict as a diversion from domestic controversies and of abandoning America's responsibility to nurture and protect its alliances.

She pointed out that Trump's policies have rendered the US 'unreliable' to its partners and have 'robbed whatever influence we had to be able to speak to certain issues.'
