A Virginia man, Kenya Mcchell Chapman, 32, has been charged with illegally selling a firearm used in the deadly shooting at Old Dominion University.
Chapman sold the gun to Mohamed Jalloh, who had a prior terrorism-related conviction and was barred from owning firearms.
The gun was stolen from a car in Newport News, Virginia, about a year before being sold to Jalloh, who used it to kill Lt. Col. Brandon Shah and injure two others.
Chapman faces multiple federal firearm charges and could face a maximum sentence of 35 years in federal prison if convicted.
