Kuwait has announced the arrest of 10 more suspects linked to Hezbollah, foiling a plot to target vital facilities in the Gulf state.

The suspects, all Kuwaiti nationals, had planned and coordinated with external operatives to provide coordinates of various sites, according to the Ministry of Interior.

The group had trained abroad in camps linked to Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, and gave detailed confessions, the ministry said.

The arrests follow the detention of 14 Kuwaitis and two Lebanese citizens earlier this week, who were also accused of being affiliated with Hezbollah.

Kuwait has come under repeated attack by Iran since the start of the war with Israel and the US on February 28.
