More than two months after 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie's disappearance, a law enforcement insider has shared new comments about the ongoing investigation in Tucson.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since January 31, when she was last seen at her home in the Catalina Foothills area.

Despite extensive search efforts, no suspect has been publicly identified so far.

A law enforcement insider sent a direct message to Savannah and her family, saying: “Just to explain it to Savannah that, just because we have an incompetent lead doesn’t mean that we don’t care… We are completely with her and her family on this.”

The remark points to possible internal concerns within the investigation, though it remains unclear whether the “incompetent lead” referred to a specific investigator or broader leadership issues.

The insider also addressed growing criticism of Chris Nanos, referencing a recent no-confidence vote against him.

Jennifer Coffindaffer, a retired FBI Special Agent, shared her thoughts on the Nancy Guthrie investigation, mentioning some of the challenges that make the case difficult to solve.

A $1 million reward remains in place for information leading to Nancy Guthrie's safe return.
