Lebanon's State Security agency said an Israeli strike on the southern city of Nabatiyeh killed 13 of its personnel, as the country prepared to start ceasefire talks with Israel.

Lebanon's health ministry raised the toll of massive Israeli strikes across the country to 357 dead and 1,223 wounded, with Israel's military saying it 'eliminated more than 180 militants' from Hezbollah in Wednesday's strikes.

Washington and Tehran are at odds over whether the truce applies to Lebanon, with Hezbollah drawing the country into the Middle East war on March 2 with rocket fire at Israel in support of its backer Iran.

Lebanese authorities say the war has killed 1,953 people, with over one million displaced and 140,000 staying in collective shelters.
