At least five people were hospitalized after a vehicle crashed through a police station in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday, April 21.

The car drove completely into the precinct lobby, causing debris to scatter across the area.

A shocking video has emerged showing the driver plowing into the police station while people were standing nearby.

Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel described the incident as 'a deliberate act.'

The driver, who was taken into custody, initially tried to run from the scene but was tackled and arrested.

Castor Avenue remains closed in the area as an investigation is ongoing.
