A woman in Maryland has sparked outrage after allegedly calling Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on six workers of Guatemalan origin while they were fixing her roof.
Footage of the men getting detained by the ICE agents surfaced on social media after one of their co-workers livestreamed the incident.
The woman reportedly told the workers that if they returned to finish the project, she would call ICE again.
Critics have demanded legal action against the woman, alleging she recruited the workers while fully aware of their status.
Relatives of the detained crew expressed concern, with one wife saying she was 'desperate' for her husband and felt 'sad' for their family.
