Cecillia Wang, the National Legal Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), is fighting against Donald Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship in a landmark Supreme Court case.

With over two decades of experience at the ACLU, Wang has led the organization's work at the Supreme Court and oversees more than 200 lawyers and staff, while working with hundreds more across 54 state affiliates.

She has been a key figure in challenging major Trump administration policies, including the Muslim ban, family separation, border wall funding, and the attempt to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.

Wang's arguments in court focus on the fact that birthright citizenship is a core principle guaranteed by the 14th Amendment, which ensures that every child born in the United States is a citizen.

The ACLU, along with other groups, argues that the administration's move goes against the Constitution, Supreme Court precedent, and federal law.
