The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has denied any links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, calling the claims 'disgraceful' and 'mean-spirited'. In a rare address from the White House, Trump stated that she never had a relationship with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Trump also clarified that she met her husband, Donald Trump, through a chance encounter at a New York City party in 1998, not through Epstein. She recalled meeting Epstein for the first time in 2000 at an event she attended with her husband.
Trump denied visiting Epstein's private island and stated that she is not a witness in any investigation surrounding the convicted sex offender. She called on Congress to provide the survivors of Epstein's abuse with a public hearing to reveal the full truth.
'Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public, if she wishes, and then her testimony should be permanently entered into the Congressional Record,' Trump said.
