A Canadian woman was killed and six others injured in a shooting at Mexico's Teotihuacán pyramids on Monday. The shooter later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A chilling link to the 1999 Columbine shooting in the US has emerged, with the suspect allegedly wearing a shirt referencing Eric Harris's attire during the massacre.

Authorities have not named the suspect, but a hunting weapon, knife, cartridges, and material referencing the former Soviet Union were found on the shooter. The suspect's address was reportedly in Mexico City, as stated on an INE credential.

The shooting occurred on April 20, the same date as the Columbine massacre. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her solidarity with the affected individuals and their families, while Canada's foreign affairs minister Anita Anand offered her thoughts to the family and loved ones of the Canadian victim.
