Middle East Crisis: Israeli Army Claims Air Superiority Over Tehran Amid Escalating Violence

The Israeli military has announced that it has achieved full air superiority over Tehran, claiming that over 50 fighter jets and precision missiles struck more than 120 launch pads of ballistic missiles launched towards Israel since Friday. In a statement, Defence Minister Israel Katz warned that residents of Tehran will be forced to pay the price of the dictatorship and evacuate their homes from areas where regime targets and security infrastructure will be attacked. The remarks come as the conflict between Israel and Iran continues to escalate, with at least eight people killed and 287 hospitalised after Iranian missiles hit several cities in Israel. The UN rights chief has condemned the violence, calling for de-escalation and diplomatic negotiations to end the attacks. In related news, the US Embassy in Tel Aviv suffered minor damage during an Iranian missile attack, but no US personnel were injured. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump suggested that Iran and Israel need to 'fight it out' before a deal can be reached, although he also expressed hope that a deal will be made.
