A 20-year-old man was taken into custody after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's home in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood.
According to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), officers were called to the scene at around 4:12am PT on Friday for a 'fire investigation.'
The suspect then ran away and was later detained at OpenAI's headquarters in the Mission Bay area after making threats to burn the building down.
The SFPD said the person arrested is a 20-year-old man, but his name has not been released yet. Charges are still pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
OpenAI confirmed the situation in a statement, saying, 'Thankfully, no one was hurt.'
